Question: Do you think that there are some correlation between NCCL progression and MMPs leave out by dentin, odontoblast and oral biofilm bacteria?
One question guys: do you think that there are some correlation between NCCL progression and MMPs leave out by dentin, odontoblast and oral biofilm bacteria? Are you agree with me that probabily the initial moment on development of NCCL are occlusal force such as parafunction according abfractions theory?. Does it’s possible a combinate action between occlusal force ( initial phase ) and MMPs action to progression of cervical lesion?. Thanks if you know something right and more about etiology of NCCL.
John Comisi: Yes!!! Look at this publication:

Stefano Daniele: Thanks John Comisi!!
Salvatore Sauro: Exactly John Comisi, I was thinking about the same article. Tissue loss is also influenced by MMP exposure following erosion events
Flavia Pires Rodrigues: Any thoughts Paulo Vinícius Soares?
Lucas Zago Naves: Not used to read about, but considering NCCLs has a multifactorial etiogenesis, being one of the causes related to its origin and progression, a biocorrosion process, certainly MMPs has a role. Thanks for the paper, I ll read it ASAP.
Salvatore Sauro: Our dear friend Giacomo Derchi has suggested this paper: http://www.eapgoias.com.br/…/downloads/Tay_et_al_24637.pdf. I do not know how many times I have read this beautiful article 🙂
Stefano Daniele: Dear Jhon Comisi. Do you have a pdf of article that you shared with us about NCCL and relationship with MMPs?. If you have it colud be very nice send me by e-mail? I will send you my e- mail adress in private. Thank you in advance if you can. Bye
John Comisi: I private messaged the article to you Stefano Daniele
Stefano Daniele: Thank you very much John!!!
John Comisi: 🙂
John Comisi: It is often difficult to get various article, so sharing in this forum can help us all stay up to date and informed on the many items we find interesting and important out there. Thanks Salvatore for starting this!
