Hervé Tassery: no way to use Diagnodent during excavation step….

Liviu Steier: Excellent! Do you mind me asking please to argue on your statement outside the paper?

Hervé Tassery: Diagnodent is based on bacteria porphyrine detection but in the deepest part of the caries there is no porphyrine only Maillards product like AGEs (pentosidine and carboymethyl lysine etc) which fluoresce in red with the soprolife camera. Diagnodent could help only for diagnosis subject to be able to perfectly clean the grooves..otherwise Diagnodent gives false positive signal only

Liviu Steier: Excellent. Thank you for the reply. Yes, I am aware of those details and facts. Any additional facts not mentioned so far please?

John Comisi: The only quantitative mechanism currently available that can detect the demineralization and caries process, to my understanding, is the Canary device. Remarkable from what it can determine in the remin-demin scope of things. There is a learning curve associated with using it, but it is currently a one of a kind mechanism.

John Comisi: An interesting poster from the ORCA 2016 conference.

Liviu Steier: Please find a great review attached…

John Comisi: I will look this up later today. Love the information we share.

John Comisi: Just found it. It’s review of Canary PTR/LUM is spot on.

Hervé Tassery: The main point is that for north European cariologists visual inspection remains the gold standard and that magnification more than 2 is dangerous. They dont believe also in fluorescence concept. Reasons why Soprolife, Canary system and other devices have poor succes witht those persons. See our last publication Tassery and Manton in Springer publication

Liviu Steier: Excellent! Congratulations!

Salvatore Sauro: It can be consider a gold-wrong standard (visual inspection) in my opinion!!!!!………………….sorry to be so straight, but I do not agree with that. Anyway, congratulations for your great publication. Please give us some tips and tricks from that paper.

Hervé Tassery: I do agree with you . Magnification is mandatory anyway.

Rogerio Marcondes: love this group.. everytime amazings discussions and Info 👏👏

Vicente Paulo Saboia: Mara Lotif, these works and discussion presented here are very important for your thesis. take a look carefully and include them on your references.
